Our urgent care services are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
Some of the signs that your loved one may require urgent medical attention include:
- Difficulty breathing
- Ingestion of a foreign object or toxic substance
- Broken bones
- Cuts, lacerations or puncture wounds
- Vomiting or diarrhea lasting longer than 24 hours
- Bleeding
- Trauma, such as a fall or being hit by a car
- Swollen or tender abdomen
- Difficulty urinating
- Lameness
- Disorientation
- Foaming at the mouth
- Convulsions/seizures
- Loss of consciousness
If you notice any of these signs, seek immediate assistance. Whenever possible, Quail Pointe Veterinary Hospital recommends calling ahead when an emergency occurs. This will allow us to evaluate the situation, provide first aid instructions over the phone and prepare for your pet’s arrival. Of course, should calling ahead not be feasible, do not hesitate to come directly in.
